Phil DuPont

Phil DuPont is the backbone of CYOJ – Create Your Own Journey, a nonprofit founded in 2020 from a deep desire to give back to the community that helped shape him. As a child, Phil was deeply impacted by the support, mentorship, and opportunities he received—especially through sports. Athletics played a vital role in his life, providing structure, purpose, and guidance, and the mentors who poured into him during those years helped mold him into the man he is today. Feeling truly blessed by that foundation, Phil knew he wanted to create opportunities for youth to experience the same support and sense of belonging. That vision became CYOJ.

Fast forward to 2026, when an opportunity to open a training facility allowed Phil’s dream to grow even further. Taking this step required faith, courage, and countless hours of hard work, but with belief—and the support of his friends, family, and community—that dream became reality.

Beyond CYOJ, Phil is a committed father, a supportive husband, and a business owner deeply rooted in his community. These roles shape the way he leads, coaches, and gives back. Phil brings many years of coaching experience, having played collegiate football and semi-pro football. He has a genuine passion for teaching, mentoring, and developing youth, and remains deeply grateful for the support around him. Phil is committed to continuing to build upon his vision—mentoring, coaching, and making a lasting impact for families and athletes in the community.

Amanda DuPont

Amanda’s journey in youth sports began on the softball field, where she played throughout high school and developed a lifelong love for the game. After graduating, she pursued cosmetology, but her passion for youth athletics only grew stronger once she became a mother and watched her children fall in love with baseball and softball.

Seeing firsthand the power sports have to shape confidence, character, and community, Amanda became deeply involved in coaching and supporting young athletes in any way possible. She played a key role alongside Phil in founding Create Your Own Journey (CYOJ), believing wholeheartedly that the best way to create real, lasting change is through investing in youth.

Amanda thrives behind the scenes—designing, creating, scheduling, and connecting—while inspiring kids in the community to believe in themselves and their potential. A proud mother of three and a devoted family woman, she makes sure everyone feels supported, welcomed, and valued. While Phil leads on the field, Amanda ensures the environment around it is one of encouragement, inclusion, and care. Together, they are committed to building confidence in the next generation of leaders—on and off the field—helping youth understand that their journey matters, and their future is worth believing in.

Alex Yeaney

Alex Yeaney is a dedicated coach with a strong passion for baseball, athletic development, and youth mentorship. He coaches youth teams at multiple levels and is deeply focused on teaching fundamentals, building confidence, and helping young athletes develop their skills—while always fostering a genuine love and enjoyment for the game.

A former all-state athlete, Alex played collegiate baseball at Western Oregon University, where he continued to develop his leadership and understanding of the game. His coaching experience also extends beyond baseball, as he has helped coach high school softball and currently serves as an assistant varsity softball coach at West Salem High School.

Beyond the field, Alex is a devoted husband, a proud father, and someone who truly loves and invests in his community. His mentorship and leadership go far beyond athletics, positively impacting young athletes both on and off the field. Alex brings energy, passion, and purpose to CYOJ HitLab, and we are excited to have him as part of the facility and to grow this partnership with CYOJ together.

Jamie Yeaney

Jamie Yeaney brings extensive experience as both a coach and a former collegiate athlete, along with a deep passion for developing confident, disciplined young athletes. She currently serves as a varsity softball coach at West Salem High School, where she emphasizes leadership, work ethic, character, and accountability both on and off the field.

Jamie’s background as a collegiate athlete strongly shapes her coaching philosophy. She is dedicated to preparing athletes not only for the next level of competition, but also for life beyond sports. In addition to coaching at the high school level, Jamie is actively involved in youth softball, where she loves helping young athletes build strong fundamentals, confidence, and a true love for the game from an early age.

Beyond coaching, Jamie is a devoted wife and mother who brings genuine care, encouragement, and positivity to every team she works with. Her passion, experience, and heart for youth development make her an incredible asset to CYOJ HitLab. We are truly blessed to have Jamie on our team and are excited to see this relationship continue to grow.
